The classic Navy Chair, also referred to as the Emeco 1006 chair, is an all-aluminum chair originally produced by Emeco (Electric Machine and Equipment Company) during World War II (starting in 1944) exclusively for the US Navy. The durable aluminum Navy Chair was designed to withstand the rigors of daily use during wartime. Ideal as a dining or conference chair. Available in a polished or brushed aluminum finish. Also available in lacquered white, black, green or red on a custom-order basis.
